Chicago coverage, Sportsman features highlight new National Dragster issue

The sixth 2023 issue of ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é National Dragster, featuring complete coverage from the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Nationals and Sportsman-racer features, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Members around the world.

Our guardwall-to-guardwall coverage of ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é’s return to Route 66 Raceway includes all of the reportorial and photo goodness you’ve come to expect, plus coverage of the inaugural Pro Stock Callout, the latest Mission #2Fast2Tasty ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Challenge, and coverage of both Mountain Motor Pro Stock and the Street Car Shootout.

We’ve also got coverage from the ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series (Maple Grove and the Texas Motorplex doubleheader) and a report from the ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series event in Sacramento, Calif.

On the feature front, Kelly Wade penned a wonderful article recapping Sportsman superstar Austin Williams’ rise through the Jr. Dragster ranks to powerhouse performer, while Senior Editor Kevin McKenna dug deep into the points archive to recount the five greatest seasons in ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Sportsman racing.

Editor Phil Burgess also went the history vault for a feature recapping the best season starts in ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é history dating back to the 1970s as we continue to awe at Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Gaige Herrera’s three-race unbeaten streak to launch the 2023 campaign.

Our Racing technology column focuses on Holley’s trick Sniper fuel injection offering, which allows a virtual plug-and-play experience for users.

We’ve also got a feature on Jr. Dragster standout Morgan Harp and a preview of the upcoming Eastern and Western Jr. Conference Finals events, as well an interview with Peggy Llewelling, who made her return to Pro Stock Motorcycle at the Chicago event, and we talked to ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Motorsports Museum board chairman Dale Coleman about the upcoming Wally Parks ²ÞËùÇ¿¼é Nostalgia Nationals.
