Few would argue that Aaron Stanfield is one of the most talented and versatile drivers currently racing in ����ǿ�� competition and his performance at the 70th U.S. Nationals helped confirm that notion.

Stanfield won his second event of the season in Holley EFI Factory X when he powered his Reher-Morrison tribute Camaro to a 7.094 to hold off Lenny Lottig’s competitive 7.122. A short time later, Stanfield made history when he defeated Jeg Coughlin Jr. to win the Pro Stock final.

Stanfield not only won his 29th and 30th wins on the same day, but also became the first driver in the 70 year history of the Toyota U.S. Nationals to score a double victory.

“This is what dreams are made of. It’s been a long weekend, but I can’t thank these guys enough that are involved in both of our programs,” said Stanfield. “I’m trying to wrap my mind around this but we just won two Wallys at ‘the Big Go’.”

The Indy Factory X field featured nine entries showing significant growth for the still-new category. Stanfield was second quickest in qualifying with a 7.200 and his Janac Bros/Stanfield Engines team made the necessary adjustments to deal with ever changing track conditions in eliminations.

Stanfield topped Kyle Koretsky with a 7.186 and later took out former Indy Pro Stock winner Alex Laughlin’s Dodge with a 7.059, the quickest run of the event.

Lottig, who defeated Stanfield in the most recent Factory X event at Summit Motorsports Park, wheeled his�� Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins tribute Camaro to the final on the strength of wins against Rick Hord and Stanfield’s father, Greg. Lottig also made gains on Sunday with a 7.066, his best run of the weekend, on a semifinal bye run.

Aaron Stanfield came into Indy as the championship leader in the Factory X class, nursing a 35-point advantage over his father, Greg. Lottig came into the event in third place, 81-points back. The Holley EFI Factory X class will race at the upcoming events in St. Louis, Dallas, and Las Vegas.
